Fees

The Province of Manitoba Health Care system does not cover fees for psychological services. However, many people have extended health care coverage through a benefits package with their employment or an extended health insurance plan they have purchased.

If you ask for the brochure that describes your extended health benefits it should describe the coverage you are allowed for clinical psychology services. Some extended health plans require a referral by your family doctor in order to qualify for coverage. Children and other family members often qualify for coverage. These fees may be eligible as a medical expense on your income tax depending upon your level of eligible health expenses over the course of the year. Please telephone the Institute for information about fees for specific services.

Fees are due at the time the services are provided unless other arrangements are made in advance. You will be given a receipt which you may send to your insurance plan for re-imbursement. Cash, cheque, Visa or Master Card are acceptable forms of payment.
