Dr. Sarah Yachison
Ph.D., C.Psych

Dr. Sarah Yachison is a Registered School and Clinical Child Psychologist. She received her Ph.D. in School and Applied Child Psychology at McGill University. She has experience working in school, hospital, and community settings. Dr. Yachison’s compassionate, client-centred stance enables her to establish strong working connections. She has expertise with diagnosing various conditions including Learning Disabilities, Intellectual Disability, ADHD, Tourette’s Syndrome, Autism, and mood-related disorders. Therapeutically, she uses Cognitive-Behavioral, Narrative, Dialectical-Behavioral, and Attachment-Based modalities. Dr. Yachison provides creative strategies to help clients effectively address areas of struggle and recognize their strengths. At CBTI, Dr. Yachison supervises the work of several Clinical Associates.

Dr. Judy Kienas
Ph.D., C.Psych

Dr. Judy Kienas is a registered psychologist with training in both Counselling Psychology (University of North Dakota) and Clinical Psychology (University of Manitoba). Her clinical interests include working with adults and couples from a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy orientation that incorporates elements of Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Emphasis is placed on helping people obtain their goals within the context of a strength-based approach. She enjoys helping people with anxiety, panic attacks, depression, obsessions and compulsions, posttraumatic stress, return to work difficulties, relationship problems, and anger management concerns.

Ph.D., C.Psych

Dr. Senn received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Concordia University in Montreal, and completed her clinical psychology residency at the University of Manitoba. Her clinical interests include working with adults with anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, post-traumatic stress, depression, chronic stress, perinatal mental health concerns, irritable bowel syndrome, chronic pain, and a variety of chronic health conditions.

Dr. Diane Hiebert-Murphy
Ph.D., C.Psych

Dr. Hiebert-Murphy received her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Manitoba. She completed her clinical psychology internship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. Her special interests include couples therapy, family therapy, parenting, and high conflict relationships.

Dr. Kelly Malcolmson
Ph.D., C. Psych. 

Dr. Kelly Malcolmson received her Ph.D. in Cognitive Neuroscience from the University of Waterloo, where she also completed coursework in child assessment and psychopathology. She completed pre-doctoral training in schools in Waterloo and Hamilton and has worked as a School Psychologist in Toronto and Winnipeg schools for over a decade. Dr. Malcolmson has expertise in conducting psycho-educational assessments with children and adolescents to better understand the factors that are interfering with learning and engagement, as well as the strengths and strategies that can be harnessed to improve functioning and wellbeing.

Dr. Heather MacKenzie
Ph.D., C.Psych

Dr. MacKenzie received her M.Sc. degree and Ph.D. in clinical psychology at the University of Calgary. She completed her clinical psychology residency at the University of Manitoba. Dr. MacKenzie specializes in diagnostic assessment answering questions related to autism, ADHD, cognitive functioning, learning disabilities, and social-emotional difficulties. She also provides psychological intervention for children, adolescents and young adults who are struggling with a variety of mental health, neurodevelopmental, and health challenges (e.g., anxiety, emotional regulation difficulties, depression, social skills, ARFID, autism, ADHD, chronic pain). Her clinical practice integrates evidence-based approaches including cognitive behavioral and acceptance and commitment therapies.

Dr. Galaugher received her MSc and PhD in clinical psychology from the University of Victoria. She completed her pre-doctoral internship in Saskatoon. Dr. Galaugher provides assessment and intervention services for children, teens, and young adults. Currently not accepting new clients.

Dr. Brenlee Cantor
Ph.D., C Psych

Dr. Cantor earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Florida State University and completed her Clinical Health Psychology Residency at the University of Manitoba. As a Registered Psychologist, Dr. Cantor works collaboratively with clients to create meaningful change, using evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She currently works primarily with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, OCD, workplace stress, and challenging life transitions, and also provides assessment and treatment for children and adolescents, drawing on her School Psychology background. She welcomes clients from diverse backgrounds and life experiences.

Dr. Ducharme (she/her) received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Concordia University in Montreal and completed her predoctoral residency at The Alberta Children’s Hospital in Calgary. Dr. Ducharme provides assessment and intervention services to children and adolescents. Her clinical practice integrates evidence-based approaches including cognitive behavioral and acceptance and commitment therapies. Dr. Ducharme has extensive experience working with trans and gender diverse youth and is passionate about providing supportive and gender-affirming care.

Dr. Chantal Van Landeghem
Ph.D., C Psych

Dr. Chantal Van Landeghem received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Manitoba. Her therapeutic orientation is primarily rooted in cognitive-behavioral and client-centered approaches, while integrating evidence-based techniques from emotion-focused, acceptance and commitment, and dialectical behaviour therapies. Dr. Van Landeghem’s specialized focus lies in supporting older adolescents and adults facing challenges related to anxiety, panic, depression, trauma, life stressors, and chronic pain. Her training and experience also extend to working with high-performers, such as professional athletes, musicians, and first responders.

Dr. Elizabeth Hebert,

Dr. Hebert completed her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at Concordia University in Montreal and her residency at the University of Manitoba. She has experience working with adults from a variety of backgrounds, including physicians and health care workers, police and military members and veterans, and students. She assists clients with anxiety, worry, phobias, ADHD, insomnia, OCD, adult PTSD, and perinatal mental health concerns. She enjoys helping people enhance mental well-being, life satisfaction, and goal attainment. She also provides assessments for adult ADHD and intellectual disabilities. Dr. Hebert is a mental health educator, providing a variety of training workshops for organizations.

Dr. Tasmia Hai
Ph.D., C. Psych.

Dr. Tasmia Hai is a Registered School and Clinical Child Psychologist in Manitoba and Ontario. She completed her PhD., in school and clinical psychology at the University of Alberta. Dr. Hai has experience working with a variety of mental health and neurodevelopmental concerns, including anxiety, mood issues, emotion dysregulation, learning disabilities, Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and autism spectrum disorders (ASD). Dr. Hai provides therapeutic services and completes psychological/psychoeducational assessments for children and adolescents between the ages of 6-21 years old.

Dr. Christine Henriksen
Ph.D., C.Psych

Dr. Henriksen received her PhD in clinical psychology from the University of Manitoba. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at Harvard Medical School’s McLean Hospital and furthered her training at McLean with a post-doctoral fellowship at the renowned Obsessive Compulsive Disorder Institute. Dr. Henriksen has extensive experiencing treating adults and older adolescents with anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, mood disorders, and eating disorders utilizing a combination of cognitive behavioural therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and other mindfulness-based approaches.

Dr. Corey Mackenzie
Ph.D., C.Psych

Dr. Corey Mackenzie received his M.A. and Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Queen’s University and completed his clinical internship at Baycrest in Toronto. He uses cognitive behavioural and mindfulness-based approaches to help younger and older adults suffering from anxiety, depression, and difficulties coping with stressful life experiences.

Dr. Julian Torres
Psy.D., C.Psych

Dr. Julian Torres received his Doctorate in Psychology (Psy.D) from Memorial University of Newfoundland after completing his residency with the University of Manitoba. He works primarily using a CBT framework and drawing from Mindfulness, Psychodynamic, and Interpersonal Therapy approaches to complement an eclectic, person-centered practice. He favours experiential strategies and metaphors to help his clients develop insight and reinforce lasting change. Dr. Torres has a passion for helping children, adolescents, and adults in rural communities, and offers services in English, French, and Spanish. He provides services both virtually and in person at his consulting office in Portage La Prairie, Manitoba.

Dr. Constance Boutet
Ph.D., C.Psych

Dr. Boutet is a registered clinical psychologist and certified school psychologist. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Manitoba in 1994. Dr. Boutet completed two internships, one in counselling psychology at the University of Manitoba Student Counseling Service where she worked primarily with adults, couples and groups. Her second internship in clinical child psychology was completed at the Alberta Children’s Hospital in Calgary working with children, youth and families. Dr. Boutet has extensive experience with the school system in Manitoba in her roles as school psychologist, clinical supervisor, student services manager and psychology consultant for Manitoba Education. Her treatment interests include children and youth experiencing learning, behaviour, social-emotional and mental health difficulties and adults experiencing daily life challenges including stress management, anxiety and depression.

Dr. Raoom Qureshi Dr. Raoom Qureshi
Ph.D., C Psych

Raoom Qureshi obtained her Doctorate in Counselling Psychology in 2016 from the University of Manchester, United Kingdom. She practiced as a psychologist in the UK for 5 years before moving to Abu Dhabi and Egypt where she also continued her practice. Raoom works mainly with adults and older adolescents. She has worked with a variety of complex and high-risk mental and psychological issues including personality disorders, schizophrenia, depression, trauma, abuse, psychosis, suicide ideation, anxiety, and self-harm. In therapy, Raoom uses CBT and an integrative approach, where elements of Psychodynamic, Person-centered and Dialectical Behavior Therapy are incorporated into the treatment plan.

Ms. Summer Sjoberg
M.A. in School Psychology

Summer completed her master’s degree in school psychology at the University of Manitoba. She has over a decade of experience working with children, adolescents, and young adults in a variety of schools across Winnipeg. Her clinical interests include helping young people with anxiety and mood disorders, attention and learning challenges, and distressing experiences. Her individualized approach to therapeutic intervention incorporates various evidenced based techniques from Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and behavioural therapy. As well, she specializes in psychoeducational assessments and has expertise working within multiple systems, enabling her to support families as they navigate and advocate for supports within schools and the community.

Robert completed his pre-doctoral training at the Université de Saint-Boniface/University of Manitoba (B.A.-Hons; PBDE), British Columbia (M.Ed), and completed his doctoral studies (Ed.D) in the Counselling – School Psychology Field at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (U of T). He has been practicing as a certified School Psychologist for over two decades across both the private and public-school systems within urban and rural contexts. Robert has extensive experience conducting bilingual psycho-educational assessments and working collaboratively with families, children and youth, treating anxiety, ADHD, emotion/mood regulation, and developing system-oriented recommendations and approaches that support diverse learning needs. Robert’s services are offered in French and English.

Lisa Grindey
M.A. in School Psychology

Lisa Grindey received her master’s degree in School Psychology at the University of Manitoba. She has been practicing in this field since 2012 and has experience working with children, adolescents and young adults. Lisa’s areas of interest include mental health and wellness, difficulties with learning and attention, social and peer dynamics and understanding the impact of trauma on the brain. She incorporates evidence-based approaches into her practice such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), aspects of Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and mindfulness with a focus on relationship and connection. Lisa also specializes in psychoeducational assessments and attachment-based parenting groups. She has worked in a variety of schools and collaborates with multiple agencies with a focus on a holistic, wraparound approach to intervention. Her passions lie in advocacy and the importance of belonging and connection.

Madissen is a master’s student in Clinical Psychology. Additionally, she brings experience across child and youth psychological assessments. Sumedha is a registered Clinical Psychologist in India, currently completing her registration with the Psychological Association of Manitoba as a Psychological Associate (IP) candidate. Sumedha works with adults and adolescents using an integrative, client-centred approach, drawing from Schema Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). Her style is exploratory and relational, with the therapeutic relationship at the centre of her practice. Dr. Mohamed Kamal is a Clinical Psychologist with over 23 years of experience in mental health and addiction treatment. He specializes in the assessment and treatment of Anxiety, Depression, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Personality Disorders, and Substance Use Disorders using evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), including Mindfulness, Emotion Regulation, and Distress Tolerance Skills.
Dr. Kamal also is the author of the book, The Gateway Intensive Program -A Treatment Manual for Clinicians. (Arabic edition, 2017). An English edition is currently undergoing translation.

Dr. Farhad Taremian has over 25 years of experience working as a clinical psychologist. He uses cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), schema therapy, and mindfulness techniques to provide treatment for psychological conditions including depression, anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and suicidality and self-harm. Dr. Taremian also has specialized training in addictions and completed a fellowship in addictive behaviour at the University of London. Aneet received her master’s degree in clinical psychology from the University of Manitoba and is currently completing her PhD in Clinical Psychology. She has experience working with adults presenting with depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, phobias, trauma, and traumatic brain injury. Aneet has a strong interest in clinical neuropsychology and neuropsychological assessment, as well as evidence-based psychotherapy. Kaelin is a Psy.D. student at Adler University. Administrative Director

Lisa Massey has gained valuable experience in bookkeeping, office administration, and client relations within the financial sector. She holds training in accounting from Red River College and in human resources from the University of Winnipeg. Lisa is passionate about supporting her community through her work with CBTI, where she manages the administrative team, collaborates closely with clinicians, and assists CBTI clients with care and dedication.

Hannah has always been passionate about social justice and is committed to supporting the work of CBTI’s mental health professionals. She thrives in her role, which enables her to uplift both the community members and the dedicated professionals she collaborates with. Mayra Cota is one of our dedicated Administrative Assistants with a background as an executive assistant and strong experience in office administration, client support, and human resources. She excels in managing administrative operations, streamlining processes, and ensuring effective communication. Sidon is an Administrative Assistant with a background in customer service and administrative support. As a graduate of the Administrative Assistant program at Red River College Polytechnic (RRC Polytech), she brings strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills to her role at CBTI.
